Yesterday, Dad and I went to the library. The library was big and quiet. There were so many shelves filled with books. I felt excited to pick a new book to read! First, Dad showed me how to return the books we borrowed last week. Then, we walked to the children’s section. There were colorful books with pictures of animals, superheroes, and princesses. I chose a book about dinosaurs because I love learning about them. The book had big pictures of T-Rex, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus. Dad sat with me, and we read the first few pages together. I learned that dinosaurs lived a long, long time ago. After reading, I picked another book about space. It had pictures of stars, planets, and astronauts. I asked Dad if we could borrow both books, and he said yes. We went to the librarian, and she scanned the books for us. She gave me a library card and said I could borrow more books anytime. I felt so happy! At home, I showed Mom the books, and she said I made great choices. I can’t wait to visit the library again next week. I want to find a book about the ocean next time!
