One day, my teacher told us about trees and how they help the Earth. Trees give us fresh air and shade. I decided to plant a tree in our garden. Mom helped me pick a small sapling from the plant shop. The sapling was tiny and had green leaves. We found a good spot in the garden where the tree could grow tall. I dug a hole in the soil with a small shovel. It was hard work, but I didn’t give up. Mom helped me put the tree in the hole, and then we covered the roots with soil. After that, I watered the tree with my watering can. The water made the soil wet and soft. Mom told me that the tree needs water and sunlight to grow. Every day, I water the tree and check its leaves. I talk to the tree and tell it to grow big and strong. After a few weeks, I saw new leaves growing. I was so happy! I can’t wait for the tree to grow tall and give us shade. Planting a tree made me feel proud. It’s fun to take care of something and watch it grow!
