PET

Cambridge English Preliminary for Schools is at Level B1 of the CEFR. There are two types of tests namely:

• Preliminary for schools
• Cambridge English Preliminary

The test includes exactly the same question types and tasks. English in everyday situations are used in both tests. These tests can be taken as paper-based or Computer- based tests.

EXAMINATION MODULE

PET Examination is conducted globally six times a year. This examination assesses the four language skills such as Listening, Reading , Writing, and Speaking skills as per the standards of the CEFR benchmark. The students get certified by either Cambridge or British Council as per the examination centre allotted by the nodal partners. The speaking test will happen live with an Examiner and an interlocutor. It is a pairing examination of two candidates.

CERTIFICATION

All the successful candidates receive a certificate awarded by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examination. All the students receive a statement of results showing how they performed in the examination.

The certificates are recognized by employers in several countries and Universities. Few Universities also recognize PET for Schools as an initial qualification in English.

Course duration: 3 months. Weekly: 2 sessions (Mon to Sat). Per session 2 hours
